Create a more realistic fire glow in Nuke

Watch Famed Director and Visual Effects Supervisor Hugo Guerra showing us his 3-step technique that will result in more a more realistic fire glow in Nuke. This is a technique that Hugo has developed over the years of doing game cinematics.

“I’ve done this kind of trick on pretty much every cinematic I’ve done.” Guerra says. “It’s especially good when you’re using fire elements, [like you know] elements from stock footage or if you using fire from 3d as well.”

Hugo mentions that this simple 3 step process is a great way to bring back or add more of the dynamic range in effects by using it for fire glow.
